Privacy policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
Tryfetch is local-first. Your collections, requests, responses, and secrets are never sent to us.
Who we are
Tryfetch is provided by BVR Code CommV, Bergenstraat 96, 8020 Oostkamp, Belgium. Enterprise / VAT number: BE0787557054. Contact: hello@crud.be.
BVR Code CommV is responsible for the personal information we process as described in this policy. Polar is separately responsible for data it processes under its own privacy policy.
What happens locally
Collections and requests are plain files on your device, in the folders you choose. Environments, request history, settings, and license state are also stored on your device. Secrets are kept in your operating system's keychain. Requests you send go to the servers you address. We do not receive your requests, responses, or secrets, or use them to train AI models.
The built-in MCP server and the command line run on your device. An AI agent you connect receives the data of the actions you approve, and what it does with that data is subject to that agent provider's privacy practices. Anything you commit, copy, or share is likewise subject to where you send it. Device backups or sync tools you configure may also copy your local files.
Payments and license checks
Your Tryfetch account at tryfetch.sh holds your email address, your license keys, the email address each license is assigned to, and the device each license is active on. You sign in with a one-time link we email you through our email provider, Resend. A signed-in session uses a single necessary cookie.
Polar handles checkout. It processes information needed for a purchase, such as your email address, billing information, payment details, and order records, and tells us when an order is paid or refunded so we can issue or revoke your licenses. We do not receive your full payment card details.
The app contacts tryfetch.sh to activate, validate, or deactivate your license. These requests include the license key, a random device identifier, your computer's hostname, and its operating system. We also receive normal connection information, such as your IP address. Your collections, requests, and secrets are not part of these requests.
This information is used to run your account, fulfill your purchase, enforce the one-device license limit, and meet applicable payment and accounting obligations. See Polar's privacy policy for its handling of personal data, retention, international transfers, and your rights.
Downloads and website visits
Installers are served from our download host, which receives ordinary request information, such as your IP address.
The Tryfetch website uses Plausible for cookie-free, aggregate statistics about website visits. The website does not use advertising trackers or set tracking cookies; the only cookie is the sign-in session. The website's hosting provider may process IP addresses and ordinary request logs to deliver and secure the site. Polar's checkout has its own privacy and cookie practices.
Support, retention, and deletion
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond. Please avoid sending API keys, credentials, or other sensitive information unless needed for your request.
Local data remains on your device until you remove it. You can manage device activations in your account at tryfetch.sh. Deleting local files does not delete purchase records or copies in backups. Account, purchase and support information is kept only as needed for service, legal obligations, and resolving disputes; Polar applies its own retention rules.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, or to restrict or object to certain processing. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise your rights concerning information we process, contact hello@crud.be. For data Polar controls, contact Polar through its privacy policy or the support details on your receipt. We cannot access or delete data held only on your device or in your repositories.

We will update this page when our privacy practices change and revise the date above.
